A public record, kept in common.
MOUR Geographic is a nonprofit in formation. Its mission is below.
Mission statement · Draft
MOUR Geographic educates the public about the arts, culture, communities, and historic and current events by creating, preserving, and providing free public access to the Living Arts Encyclopedia, a crowdsourced, map-based digital archive of photographs and video organized into annual Volumes and presented through the MOUR World Gallery. In furtherance of these purposes, it provides photography, digital-media, and archiving education and creative opportunities to children and youth, supports and documents efforts to relieve homelessness and to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and conducts charitable programs that help economically distressed and overlooked areas, including places with little or no gig work, by highlighting each community's markets, makers, and local life through programs tailored to that area, showcased in the MOUR App and MOUR Geographic, to strengthen local economies.
Draft mission statement. MOUR Geographic is a nonprofit in formation: it has not yet been incorporated and has not applied for or received recognition of tax-exempt status. Contributions are not currently tax-deductible.
