Certified Eyes

Eyes are the photographers and videographers of the MOUR App. Every Eye is certified through the MOUR App, so their images arrive already credentialed. They enter the encyclopedia with their consent, credited to them, and every entry builds a portfolio that gives them accreditation, opportunity, and credence.

Entry · What an Eye is

Every image has an author.

In the MOUR Geographic app, every contributor has an Eye profile: a grid of their posts, a viewer for each image or clip, and comments. On MOUR Geographic, those profiles become the byline for each encyclopedia entry.

That byline adds up. Each published entry becomes part of a public, dated portfolio in a recognized archive, so a Certified Eye can point to a body of published work. That gives them accreditation for what they've documented, opportunities that come from being seen, and credence when they pitch clients, galleries, or publications.

Certification happens in the MOUR App, and it is the only criterion for an Eye to be published in MOUR Geographic. Images that come from the MOUR App are already certified as valuable and credentialed by the MOUR App's own certification process to become an Eye, so there is no separate review here. It is a credential Eyes carry with their portfolio.

No contributor profiles are published on this site yet.

How an Eye's image enters the record

Step 1

Captured in the MOUR App

A certified MOUR App Eye posts a photo or short video with its place and time. That certification is the only requirement.

Step 2

Owner's consent

The Eye chooses to share the post with MOUR Geographic. Nothing is archived without it.

Step 3

Entered and credited

The entry joins the current Volume and the MOUR World Gallery, credited to its Eye.
